Railsr is a leading embedded finance experience platform that enables any business to prototype, build and scale financial products. Our vision is to make finance an amazing experience for consumers and companies globally, working alongside brands and fintechs to power innovation. Following a period of rapid growth, followed by consolidation, Railsr is returning to growth once more through an acquisition. The Opportunity
Do you have a passion for building the next wave of embedded finance products? Would you be up for a challenge to build on a modern Clojure (JVM) tech stack to implement new platform services? Railsr - a category leader in embedded finance is looking for Clojure developers to join our team.

The Role and your responsibilities
In this role the key is ownership:

Be part of a cross-functional squad with responsibility to design, architect, build code and infrastructure, deploy, maintain and monitor services on a vertical domain. You build it, you run it.
Build integrations that interact with a diverse set of complex payment schemes in multiple countries.
Build operational tooling, improve development and release workflows and experiment with new ways of working.
Solve problems - you unblock yourself and other team members when they hit a roadblock.

Our Expectations

You have built and run in production backend distributed systems for 5+ years.
Proficient at Clojure, passionate about Functional Programming and keen to have exposure to other languages (Typescript/NodeJS and C#/NET are also part of our stack).
Proven track record running and scaling services on AWS.
Experience designing and building REST APIs.
You are familiar with many of the following: CI/CD pipelines, immutable infrastructure, containers and serverless architectures.
You work and adapt in rapidly changing startup environments.
Previous experience in FinTech or the Banking domain would be an advantage.

Infrastructure - AWS IaC with Terraform, Serverless (Amazon Lambda)
Persistence - AWS DynamoDB, AWS RDS, Datomic
Data distribution - AWS SNS/SQS, Apache Kafka
Monitoring & Alerting - ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty
