We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Services Software Engineer proficient in Go and/or Clojure to join our team. As a Cloud Services Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure and software.
What your role might entail:
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions using Go and Clojure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement scalable solutions.
Build and maintain microservices architecture using Go and/or Clojure to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
Optimise performance and troubleshoot issues within the microservices ecosystem.
Implement containerisation solutions using Docker.
Work with our container orchestration tool AWS ECS to deploy and manage containerised applications.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage and version infrastructure components.
Set up monitoring and logging systems for cloud infrastructure.
Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and system issues.
Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and operations, to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
Requirements (for internal candidates we will be assessing the potential to develop in these areas and we will take into consideration your transferrable skills):
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on Go and/or Clojure development.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. (AWS preferred)
Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerisation, and orchestration.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. CloudFormation).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
