Are you a curious person who is passionate about software development? Do you like learning new technologies? Are you interested in further developing tools that enable simulations and collaboration in the cloud?
DNV – Group Research and Development (GRD) is strengthening its Trondheim office. We are looking for a skillful, curious, creative, and responsible Full Stack Developer to join our team.
As a developer in our team, you will contribute to the “Simulation Trust Center” and the “Open Simulation Platform” initiatives. We are currently developing web applications and tools that offer collaboration and simulation for testing cyber-physical and autonomous systems in the cloud. You will help us develop future technologies and services related to the assurance of digital assets, using cloud infrastructure, simulations, and web technologies.
You will be part of the Future of Digital Assurance research program under Group Research and Development. GRD has 99 employees, and we are currently 8 in Trondheim. Maybe you would like to be number 100?
Responsibilities
You will be working in a software development team with activities including:
Using simulations to develop future assurance methods
Development of the Simulation Trust Center and Open Simulation Platform
Software & cloud-based security
Design and implementation both front-end and back-end
Programming in C++, Clojure/ClojureScript, JavaScript
Work with technologies such as: React, Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, Azure Cloud Services, FMU/FMI, SQL, Azure DevOps, Linux, Conan, GitHub
Executing and contributing to improving existing DevOps processes (test automation, CI/CD)
Follow and contribute to improving established agile development framework
Quality assurance through code review
Collaborate with other research programs and the wider software developer community across DNV, as well as our industry partners
Position Qualifications

Required:
Strong programming skills (ideally 3+ years of relevant professional experience, but graduates are encouraged to apply as well)
Deep familiarity with one or more of these programming languages:
C++
Clojure/ClojureScript
JavaScript (React)
Java
Interested in functional programming
A can-do attitude
Fluent in English
Desirable experience:
Cloud based services from Azure
Docker, Kubernetes
Front end (UX) experience
Co-simulations using the FMI standard (https://fmi-standard.org/)
Experience with agile development methodologies
