Job description
Beam Solar is an independent solar marketplace, helping business assess, procure and operate solar and batteries across Australia. Our https://www.beam.solar/ platform has been built in-house and is used by many large national and international customers, leading energy consulting partners and Australia’s largest solar retailers. We are growing fast and expanding the platform’s reach.

We are looking for one senior and one junior software developer to join our soon-to-be sole software developer, Tom. As such you will have an opportunity to shape the direction and architecture of the platform as we grow. We are a remote workplace, with people in ACT, NSW, Qld, Vic and WA.

Job Description
We are looking for a full stack developer with experience building web applications. You will work across the stack on the frontend, backend, database and infrastructure to build our web platform. You will be primarily writing Clojure/Script, SQL, Terraform, CSS and Bash.

Our platform is built with Clojure/Script, AWS, CircleCI, Docker and Terraform. Our software is monolithic and deployed to a running instance. We’re leveraging many Managed AWS services such as Fargate, RDS, Elasticache, Cognito, S3, SQS, SNS and more.

Requirements:
Experience building web applications (frontend/backend/database)
HTML/CSS/JavaScript & a framework such as React, Angular, Vue.
Knowledge of at least 2 backend languages such as Clojure, Java, C#, Go, NodeJS, Scala, Ruby.
Experience with SQL.

Nice to Have experience with:
Clojure/Script or functional programming
React and Functional Reactive Programming
AWS/GCP/Azure experience
Redis, Postgres
Terraform
Docker
CI/CD such as CircleCI/TravisCI/Github Actions
Automated Testing.
Machine learning.
Websockets
Bash scripting
Web Design
Configuring DNS & Domain management
Authentication and authorization, JWT
